How do you insure your drawings contain the correct version of your blocks? |
CADQC makes checking block definitions a breeze. Without CADQC, checking block definitions for correctness is a hit or miss proposition. You can typically only find an error if you happen to notice a symbol that looks different. Other times a block looks correct but isn’t, such as when attributes have been added or renamed.
With the CADQC Standards Editor, you select your “standard library” drawing containing the official version of your blocks. You can then add one of the many block definition rule templates to your standard depending on how strict you want to be about blocks that are not in the “standard library”. You can choose to report any block that is not in the standard library as an error, or you can allow designers to create new blocks as long as a small set of important blocks have not changed. After determining how strict you want to be, save the standard and use it with the CADQC Drawing Checker to insure no one is changing the blocks in your drawings without your permission.
